Here at Global City, we strive for equity, inclusion, and sustainability in the modern workforce. As technology grows, accessible resources become more scarce for traditionally underserved communities. Our mission is to create opportunity centers by enhancing communities through career and vocational advancement as well as provide accessibility to industry tools and networks.

The Access in Accessible.
For the past decade Global City Media Center has actively offered scholarships, affordable space rentals and equipment rentals to create empowering experiences for the youth of North San Diego County.

The Industry in Our Community.
Our Affiliate program MediaMakerz.org offers career training and education to students twelve years-old and older specializing in visual arts, audio arts and entrepreneurship. This program provides accessibility to the industry. One huge obstacle for young creators to overcome is the cost to enter the industry. We have also identified the disparity of equity in the digital media space in regards to race, gender and ethnicity.

Everyone Deserves a Voice.
Our affiliate network provides access to distribution and a platform to express first amendment rights in a creative and professional environment. WTRtv has been able to adapt to the various outlets of consumption through the recent evolution of broadcast radio.
